GoTriangle announces hiring of new chief communications officer

AUG. 17, 2020 – GoTriangle has chosen Scott Thomas, formerly of Granville Health System, as its chief communications officer. He started in the role July 20.

As CCO of the Triangle’s regional transit provider, Thomas will provide strategic leadership and direction for GoTriangle’s communications, marketing, public involvement, community relations and Employer Services efforts and oversee the Communications and Public Affairs team.

“We are excited to have Scott join our team at this critical moment as we continue to plan and pivot because of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic,” says GoTriangle President and CEO Charles E. Lattuca, who became the agency’s leader in March. “GoTriangle also is currently leading and participating in many transit initiatives, including a commuter rail line between Durham and Garner, a Triangle-wide mobile ticketing effort and updates to county transit plans.  Scott is an innovator who will help us improve transparency in communications and stakeholder engagement.”
